Our mission is to provide low-income Indian people with the opportunity for decent, sanitary housing in a safe place while building stronger, healthier, stable communities and promoting economic independence and self-sufficiency for our people.

Our main objective is to provide:

  1. Affordable Housing Activities; develop, maintain and operate in a safe and healthy environment for low-income families.
  2. Maintain Current Assisted Stock, developed under the 1937 Act; in accordance with the MHOA and TDHE policies.
  3. Increase Housing Authority housing development planning, environmental assessment and funding resources.
  4. Fund and promote low-income housing activities to maximum extent of available financing.
  5. Access private mortgage markets for Indian people by loan guarantee, down payment/closing costs and creative financing.
  6. Single family and multi-family rental housing.
  7. Economic development to increase the employment base of the service area and the Tribe.
  8. Social programs (i.e., drug and crime prevention, and etc.)
  9. Manage and budget Housing Authority assets in a manner that pays expenses and makes money for reinvestment for housing.
